How to Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit (and Back)

Temperature conversion between Celsius and Fahrenheit is something most people need at some point — whether checking a weather forecast from another country, adjusting an oven temperature, or understanding a medical reading.

The Formula: Celsius to Fahrenheit

°F = (°C × 9/5) + 32

Or equivalently: °F = (°C × 1.8) + 32

The Formula: Fahrenheit to Celsius

°C = (°F − 32) × 5/9

Or equivalently: °C = (°F − 32) ÷ 1.8
